Family Support

At Wembrook Primary School, we want every child to Believe and Achieve. Our supportive pastoral system establishes a strong foundation for developing well-motivated, confident, and happy children who are inspired to put forth their best efforts in achieving success. By fostering positive relationships, we aim to help every child flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

Our Family Support and Pastoral Learning Mentors are approachable and friendly and are committed to trying to help and support our Wembrook families.

At Wembrook, we recognise our families’ journeys will have challenges and struggles on the way, so we are committed to supporting positive mental health through our curriculum and if extra support is needed or if you are concerned about you or your child’s mental health, please do not hesitate to contact Wembrook’s Mental Health Lead, Katrina Hall, for help, signposting and support.

Our support around positive mental health and wellbeing also extends to all of our teaching and support staff in school. We believe that well-supported staff ensure well-supported children.

Wellbeing Ambassadors

At Wembrook, we are excited to introduce our 12 Wellbeing Ambassadors!

These children will be working alongside our Wellbeing Team to help support their peers with their wellbeing and mental health.

These children will help raise the profile of the importance of good mental health in school.

  • To look out for children who are upset on the playground.
  • To help children find friends to play with.
  • To promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing
  • To be kind, caring and helpful towards their peers.
  • To welcome new children and staff into the school.
